ICEA Performing Arts Inc. invited us for a lunch briefing last April 13 at Claude's Cafe Le Ville for their fundraising campaign, a musical production dubbed "A Night on Broadway", featuring one of my favorite musical of all time, "Les Miserables" on April 30 and May 1 at CAP Auditorium.

Together with their beneficiaries the "Indigent Children Assistance" Inc., they are aiming to raise funds for non-tuition school needs of the indigent children of the woman inmates of BJMP City Jail in Davao City. ICEA President Ms. Conchita Suarez said that since 2007 their mission is to help children who wanted to go to school but parents can't afford to do so. "We will provide school uniforms and shoes, school supplies, PTA fees, girl and boy scout uniforms and PE uniforms, and other miscellaneous expenses and school projects for the 100 indigent children of the inmates of the Davao City Jail. And we are hoping to raise enough to help these kids.", she added.

They already staged a lot of famous musical like Sound of Music, Mamma Mia, and King and I. This year, they decided to push through in producing "Les Miserables". They had an audition for the casts in NCCC Mall earlier this year and found amazing talents from Davao City. We had a chance to witness great talents that I never thought we have in our city.
