The long wait is finally over. Ms. Kat Dalisay and the Manic Nightnings Productions finally made Davao roar once again in Carte Blanche 2014! With the #BoryatNation minus Yumi Dujali, we went to the most awaited electronic music festival in the city. Same place of course, @ Davao Crocodile Park Grounds last November 15.

Tickets were sold like hotcakes! They have GenAd @ P150 (Carnival Area only), VIP @ P400, SVIP @ P800, and FULL MADNESS @ P2,000! They sold Sunset Tickets w/c is cheaper than the regular ones, but you are only allowed to come in @ 2PM-5PM. We just bought the Regular SVIP.

We reached Crocodile Park at 8PM. Then the worst just happened. We saw a very long line @ the main entrance. Like, what the heck?!

There was no specific entrance for SVIP, VIP, etc. So we waited… and waited…. and then when we were almost at the entrance, they posted a sign to divide the entrance to Full Madness - SVIP and VIP - GA. Then it became a total chaos. Even the guards and ushers almost fainted!

After an hour of waiting and pushing @ the gate, we finally found our way in. Well, kudos to the staff for being calm and composed. Kahit muntik nang magka-stampede sa main entrance.

A music carnival will not be complete if there are no amusement rides, right?! We tried the Ferris wheel and the Mega Swing! It’s good to be a kid again!

There was a total of 24 International and Local DJ’s in the event! I tell you, it was a massive EDM madness! This was so far the best line up of DJ’s in a Music Festival. Ten Thumbs Up for that!

The best thing about partying is that you are with friends!

I have no nice photos when we went in the raving crowd! Hahaha! Sorry Lance!

There were 12,398 people who went to Carte Blanche! What a big crowd! Hot girls and hot men were EVERYWHERE! Where the hell do these people come from? Hahaha! Like this gal over here, hey Kaka! :)

The party was awesome. It was actually a blast! More people, more food, more drinks, and there’s a real carnival! Though it didn’t rain, for some who wished for it to happen to hype the party, it was still the BIGGEST Music Festival in the region!

I must admit, last year was better but hey! There will be Carte Blanche 2015, right? PLEASE! Sana meron! Hahaha! And I wish there will be a smooth flow @ the entrance next time.

A big thank you to all organizers, sponsors, and advertisers of this awesome event. To Miss Kat Dalisay and the Manic Nightnings Team, PARTY ON!

In celebration of the Halloween, SM Lanang brought us a cute and fluffy event to all dog lovers in Davao City. Me and my younger siblings went to The Dogs in Costume Parade last October 31, Friday held @ the Fountain Court. This was our first and I was really looking forward to it. There were a lot of participants… and dogs of course. They came in different shapes and sizes and it was a cloud 9 feeling seeing a lot of cute dogs around.

WARNING: IF YOU ARE BELOW 18 YEARS OLD AND IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE READING THIS, PLEASE LEAVE THIS SITE IMMEDIATELY. COZ THIS WILL BE VERY INTENSE AND YOU WILL NOT LIKE EVERYTHING THAT IS WRITTEN HERE.

Oh come on, let’s be real here. If you’re an adult, sexually active, and you have your parents permission to do so, HAHA! You at one time, experienced one-night stands or has the desire to try it. One-Night Stand is a sexual escapade for both single men and women. One-Night Stands is uncontrollable in some instances. I am not saying this happens to all of us, but it happens to some of us.

There are some rules to consider before you hook up with someone. This is not based on my experience ha! This is based on different stories of some of my friends. #CHOS!

1. NO HOOK-UPS WHEN YOU’RE IN A RELATIONSHIP

- Don’t go out looking for a one-night stand if you are not single! You know it’s not right. I can relate. Hahaha! Kaya andaming lumalabas na mga teleserye about pagtataksil dahil diyan sa mga hook-up2x ng mga taken na yan eh! Again, hook-up is only good for SINGLE men and women. PERIOD!

2. IT’S JUST SEXUAL URGE. NO EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT!
- You have to be sure that you are just doing it for sex! No more, no less. Keep it in mind that it will be a short-lived physical interaction. Keep your expectations low. Wag mag-expect na magiging kayo na after ng sex! Agad-agad??! Ganon?!

3. PRACTICE SAFE SEX
- No glove, no love. Use protection at all times. Girls, please bring condoms too. It’s not just the guy’s job to bring gloves.

4. DON’T GO WASTED
- You need a lot of energy and perfect state of mind while enjoying yourself together. Going out too drunk will dissatisfy your partner. You’ll end up sleeping or worse, releasing everything inside your stomach to the world! Eeww!

5. SAY THANK YOU!
- Don’t go running out after that passionate and steamy sex! (Whew! Ansaveh?!) Be polite to say, “Thanks for the time. I enjoyed it." IF, YOU REALLY ENJOYED IT. If not, you still have to say thanks. That’s it. Girls, you can leave your number. Don’t ask for his. Why? Read RULE NUMBER 2. Guys, please be polite too. Don’t be a douchebag. You might ruin the opportunity to see this hot woman again.

6. GET OVER IT WHEN IT’S DONE
- Kumbaga in layman’s term, MOVE ON. I actually don’t want to add this but this is really important. According to RULE NUMBER 2, you should not be attached to the person you hooked up with. Once is all it takes. Just get over it and forget everything happened.

I hope I imparted good things to you. I’m not saying you should go for one-night stands. This is just my opinion and I want to share tips for those who are into this kind of short-lived fantasies. Just remember to be healthy, be careful, and avoid carelessness. Please don’t ruin your life by making bad decisions because you’re just horny.

My office mates invited me and really pushed me to join them to eat dinner in Cafe Marco @ the Marco Polo Hotel. I was really hesitant since I know it’s P990 per person! I have never eaten an almost a thousand peso buffet noh! Jusko! Anong meron don? Bakit ang mahal? Nahihilo na nga ako sa Viking’s dahil sa dami ng pagkain at sa presyo nitong P800+ per person!

Well since it was pay day, and I really want to blog about it! (Ambait ko lang kasi iniisip ko pa rin kayong mga readers ko. Charot! As if andami kong readers. LOL!) I have decided to join and eat dinner with them. And by the way, it’s my first time to go to Marco Polo. Hihihi!

Of course someone has to make reservations! Thanks to Joni for doing that. (Read my blog about Buffets here para malaman niyo. Hihihi)

We arrived famished after a hard days work. (Charot!) These funny looking staff assisted us to our table near the window or garden something and I realized the place is really nice. “Funny looking” kasi theme nila OctoberFest tapos naka-Irish costume ang lahat ng waiters and waitresses.

We checked all of the food. Here are some snap shots from my phone.

The Main Course Section

Sushi Counter! Yummy!

Drool worthy desserts!

Looks like Minnie Mouse right?! It’s actually a Chocolate Mousse! Pagbasa niyo MOUSE noh? Hahaha! Lakas ko lang mang-trip! Hehehe.

One of the yummiest desserts!

I also tried their soft ice cream. I grabbed a small bowl kasi umapaw ang ice cream sa cone! Ito ang result kung hindi ka marunong gumamit ng ice cream machine. Hahaha! At para di mapahiya, nilagyan ko na lang ng kung anong ek-ek para may design kuno. Hahaha!

I also tried their chocolate fondue. There’s mango cubes, small round pastries, and sliced papaya. I still don’t get it why there’s fruits. I thought marshmallows and pastries lang ang pwede sa fondue.Pero keri! Kumuha na lang ako. Hahaha!

Ito ang reaction ko nung nalaman kong P990 ang babayaran ko. Chos lang! Hahaha!

Here are my office mates

Here’s my verdict.

A dinner buffet worth P990 is too pricey for me. Even if it’s inside a hotel or they have bigtime chefs, the food they serve is not worth the price. I’ve been to a lot of buffet restaurants that’s why I can tell if it’s affordable or not. They serve good food, but not that many. The good thing about Cafe Marco is they serve different kinds of food everyday. The food they serve is based on their current theme. Like the “OctoberFest” theme wherein they serve free beers to everyone. The place is not crowded so this is good for intimate dates. Staff needs to be more accommodating. We need to call them from far away. It seems everyone is hiding! We actually made a mistake in eating raw prawns because there were no staff at the counter. Pahabol! The dessert counter is to die for. Hahaha!

Last 2011, I got really curious about this place. Nadadaanan ko kasi siya going to work. It has a different and cool ambience so it really caught my interest. So when it opened in May of the same year at Torres St., me and my twitter friends visited Green Coffee and boy, I was really surprised!

I can still remember that I used to go there like everyday with my friends after dinner to end the night with a sip of their freeziccinos. Then, it became very popular and they received a lot of costumers until now.

One of the main reasons why I love this place is because it has good interiors. It’s like you’re in an indoor garden. And guess what, they also have an air-conditioned garden! Say whuuuut???  :)

After a lot of visits, this would be the first AND NOT THE LAST review I’ll give to Green Coffee. Here’s what I ordered 2 weeks ago at their newest branch in Bajada.

Mango Freezziccino (P150)

Caramel Cinnamon Roll

InfairnessNaubos ko talaga ang Cinnamon Roll. Because it really tastes good. It’s not really “cinnamony“ if that’s the term. Hahaha! And the nuts add crunch to it. The Mango Freeziccino was light and tastes fresh too!

My recent visit was last night after attending a friend’s birthday party. I went to their Torres branch with some friends and I ordered this.

Green Tea Fine Salt and Cheese (P170)

This is just HEAVEN! Para siyang ice cream! Hahaha! Still can’t get over it. It has cheese on top of a milk tea and you drink it without a straw! So expect that you’ll have a cheese moustache when you drink it. :)

Drinking coffee, milk tea, or green tea or whatever you like can never be this HEAVENly. Yeah I know, I’m still overwhelmed with the Green Tea FSC. Haha! Sorry powwww.

Well, I will definitely come back if I have the time and money, of course! LOL! And I’ve been recommending this to my friends from Manila or Cebu or to anyone who wants a coffee fix.

For me, it’s a bit pricey compared to other coffee shops but it’s actually worth it. They serve pastries and pastas too which is good. But I heard pasta is not fit for coffee? Is it true? Anyway, their staff is so nice and accommodating. Some of their staff who were transferred from Torres St. to their SM Lanang branch still recognizes me! ISN’T IT AMAZING? The Torres branch gets too crowded minsan pag weekends, so you might wanna visit other branches too.

But overall, Green Coffee is still at the top of my list.
Why don’t you give them a visit today to find out what I’m saying.

After a fulfilling dinner buffet at Cafe Marco in Marco Polo, we had a quick tour and shoot around the hotel. With Ayying around, I had the chance to ask him take some ootd shots for me. Since I still don’t own a professional camera, I had to ask a friend who has one to take pictures for me. Sad and funny, right? LOL!
