HairFood Co. products

I believe in the cliche, "Your hair is your crowning glory." I cannot go out of our house without fixing or styling it. I have used different products on my hair that it came to a point that it got dry and curly. SCARY. Add to that, I also have gray hair.

I tried dyeing it myself but it did not work as well as I expected. It actually took a toll on my scalp and I had really bad dandruff. I have not tried any hair products on my hair since then except for regular anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner.

I saw this new brand of hair products at the mall called Hairfood Co but I did not even bother to ask what it is for because I thought their products are just for hair growth and thickening. And those are not my hair problems.

I was surprised to receive an invite from their team last August for their Influencers' Night at Joanna's Kitchen. I was excited to attend the event because I really want to know more about their products.

I met their team and learned a lot about their products. They were generous to give us some of their products. Needless to say, I could hardly wait to try everything out. I used the products the day after the event and I liked every single one.

HairFood Co. products

100% Golden Jojoba Oil from Italy

Jojoba Oil brings many benefits for your hair and skin. You can use it to moisturize your skin. It can cleanse your scalp, help your hair grow, and maintain your hair color.

HairFood Co. 100% Golden Jojoba Oil

Hairfod Co.’s 100% Jojoba oil is not too sticky. I put a drop or two on my face before I sleep at night. I also use it as a hand cream before sleeping. It made my face moisturized and my hands soft when I wake in the morning. It is a good product.

My mom also uses it on her hair and she likes it, too.

Argan Gold Shampoo

The Argan Gold Shampoo promises to revitalize hair from damage.

HairFood Co. Argan Gold Shampoo

This shampoo reduces frizz and enhances the shine and luster to your hair. I have not used this but I will soon. So come back here or check out my social media accounts listed below (or on the sidebar) to know my feedback on this product.

Ever Young Shampoo and Conditioner

Ever Young is the new revolutionary product line of HairFood Co. It has 3 power ingredients: Moringa, Emu Oil, and Pea Pods. This shampoo reduces free radicals that are the root cause of premature graying of hair. This is perfect for gray hair prevention.

HairFood Co. Ever Young Shampoo and Conditioner

Meanwhile, the Ever Young Conditioner revives aging hair. It helps deliver oxygen and nutrients so that your hair follicles are rejuvenated. It also combats common hair problems like breakage, dandruff, and split ends.

The Ever Young Shampoo and Conditioner are my favorites. I have been using both for a month now and I no longer feel itchiness on my scalp. The conditioner made my scalp moisturized throughout the day. I also love the scent of the shampoo.

Both of my parents also loved the products and they asked me to buy a new set just for them. Good thing I won gift certificates at the event and from their Instagram contest. I was able to buy a set of Ever Young Shampoo and Conditioner for my parents. I'll share my Dad's Hairfood Co. experience soon on this blog so do come back for that.

I find their products expensive. But if you are interested in taking good care of your hair, you should try their products. You can see the results in less than 3 months. So even if they are expensive, the Hairfood Co. products deliver on their promises so you are able to get good value for your money.

They have different hair products so I suggest you ask their sales staff to get the product that suits your hair needs.

Thank you HairFood Co for inviting me to your Influencers' Night!

When I heard from a friend that Starbucks is building a new branch in Davao City, specifically along Torres St., I was in pure excitement because it's near our house. It is the first stand-alone Starbucks store in the city and they are offering different brewing methods for your coffee.

To fully understand and appreciate coffee, one must experience how it is made. This is exactly how one can truly experience the distinct characteristics of coffee. Taking the coffee experience to a whole new level, Starbucks in Torres St. has a Coffee Experience Bar where Baristas can demonstrate different methods in brewing your coffee. Upon ordering, customers can choose from Siphon, Pour-Over, and Chemex brewing methods for their cup. You can watch the Starbucks Global Coffee Master make the coffee in front of you like you are in a chemistry lab.

"Our newest store in Davao City fully showcases our passion and experience in coffee. Now with the unique Coffee Experience Bar, we can share our passion with those who want to learn more about the different brewing methods that bring out different flavors of the coffee," said Keith Cole, head of marketing for Starbucks Philippines.

The different methods highlight different characteristics of coffee.

To bring out full flavors, you may want to try the (Insta-worthy!) Siphon brewing method. Unlike the other methods, this uses halogen lights or butane flames to produce heat for boiling water and the movement of coffee through chambers. Vapor pressure pushes water upward to brew coffee in the top glass globe, then filtered coffee cascades back down into a glass carafe. This fascinating process makes a rewarding cup for those who enjoy well-defined flavors dominating the coffee.

Starbucks Coffee Siphon brewing method

For those who want to accentuate the distinct flavors of the coffee, you may use the beautifully simple and accessible Pour-Over method. The ceramic cone holds heat well during brewing and produces consistent, clean and flavorful coffee. By far, this is the go-to brewing method you could easily replicate at home aside from the classic coffee press.

Starbucks Coffee Pour-Over brewing method

Meanwhile, for a rich-bodied and flavorful cup of brewed coffee, you can use the Chemex method.
This combines elegance and function using a Pour-Over method with a beautiful glass decanter. It is a
hybrid method – pour- over and full immersion of the ground coffee in hot water for all or most of the
brew, and then filtered at the end. The Chemex amplifies the coffee’s body but produces the cleanest cup with complex flavors, meaning, no single characteristic will dominate and will eventually wash away clean.

Starbucks Coffee Chemex brewing method

Visit the Starbucks Torres Store today and try these brewing methods. Let me know which you prefer the most, okay? Also, I dig the design of the store especially the exteriors. IT'S INSTA-WORTHY!

After the successful launch of Starbucks Teavana in Asia last year, Starbucks announced the introduction of their new Starbucks Teavana Frozen Teas this September.

Get a refreshing icy-smooth taste of Teavana's finest teas and botanical blends with ingredients like Pomegranate pearls and Kyoho grapes. The newest Teavana frozen teas will be available in two flavors and will also be available as Iced Shaken:

Starbucks® Teavana® Frozen Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate Pearls

Starbucks® Teavana® Frozen Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate Pearls
This refreshing beverage combines floral notes of hibiscus flowers and rose petals with the tropical flavors of papaya and mango, enhanced with hints of cinnamon and lemongrass. The beverage is topped with glistening, jewel-like pearls of pomegranate juice that burst on the tongue.

Starbucks® Teavana® Frozen Chamomile Tea with Kyoho Grape and Aloe

Soothing chamomile tea is blended with honeyed white grapes and aloe cubes delivering a cool, lightly sweet taste. The beverage is generously topped with skinned and pitted whole Kyoho grapes – a popular variety from Japan known for its distinctive sweetness and generous size.

“We want our customers to experience tea like they’ve never imagined. Drawing our inspiration from a love of tea in Asia and from popular new flavors. This year, Starbucks takes innovation in flavors and texture to the next level with a unique Frozen Tea platform to satisfy the growing sophistication of consumer preference.” said Keith Cole, head of marketing for Starbucks Philippines.

“Our research shows that consumers in Asia continue to gravitate towards beverages with a textural and visual appeal, which has led to a growing interest in frozen products. Moreover, consumers are increasingly exploring the world of tea through flavor and variety, with preference shifting towards botanical teas such as herbs, fruits, and spices." said Davina Patel, Global Food and Drink Analyst.
