NUSTAR Golf Tournament 2025 Concludes with Success at Alta Vista

The NUSTAR Golf Tournament 2025 came to a thrilling conclusion at the picturesque Alta Vista Golf and Country Club on July 25, 2025, after a day filled with competitive spirit and camaraderie.

This year’s tournament attracted over 120 participants from Cebu, various regions of the Philippines, and international players, featuring a blend of elite amateur golfers and professional invitees. The event was played in a 2-man scramble format with sequential tee-offs, ensuring an engaging and inclusive atmosphere for everyone involved.

In Division I, the championship was claimed by Jung Su Park and Nam Deok Yi, who emerged victorious by countback with a score of 61. They were closely followed by first runners-up Rico Rey Holganza and Grace Quintanilla, also finishing with a 61, and second runners-up Marlo Cugtas and Jung Bum Woo, who scored 62. Meanwhile, in Division II, Kevin Charles dela Cerna and Jan Piolo Obial took home the title with a net score of 67. Sang Min Ju and Soo Man Lee secured the first runner-up position by countback, edging out Gerrald Tan and Mon Bonilla, both pairs recording a score of 69.

The tournament also featured special awards for the Fun Holes. Ricky Libago achieved the Nearest to the Pin on Hole #2, landing his shot just 3 feet 11 inches from the hole. Charles Francis Tiu earned the Longest Drive on Hole #10 with an impressive 320-yard hit. Marlo Cugtas was recognized for the Most Accurate Drive on Hole #11, while Kwang Il Park made a remarkable Longest Putt on Hole #18, sinking it from 31 feet away.
