A new coffee and milk tea shop opened last August at The Peak of Gaisano Mall of Davao. Bean Leaf offers a variety of coffee and flavored milk teas that everyone will surely love. We were invited at the grand opening last August 15 and we tasted their delectable food and drinks.



To start the Grand Opening Ceremonies, a barista showed his skills in flairtending and Mr. BeanLeaf came out to dance for us. So cool and cute!



The cutting of the ribbon was facilitated by the BeanLeaf Master Franchisee for Davao Mr. Jim Sawers and BeanLeaf CEO Randy Salamat. It was also graced by Councilor Louie Bonguyan and Ms. Sweet representing Gaisano Mall.



BeanLeaf's tagline is “Experience our Difference”. BeanLeaf invites people to taste their food and drinks, to experience a difference. BeanLeaf prides itself as a standout among other cafes and mil tea shops.



NUTELLA OVERLOAD - I ordered this because the staff told me this is one of their best-sellers. It is very “chocolatey.”. It’s like I’m sipping Nutella and dark chocolate at the same time. Too sweet.



LEMON FRUIT TEA - I haven’t tried this one but my friend Claudine Chua said, “To tell you honestly, I loved it. I have been craving for it ever since.” (Photo credit: FashionVenom.com)



CITRUS MALUNGGAY FRUIT TEA - When my co-bloggers went to their food tasting event before the opening day, Clea Banal shared that this became their favorite saying, “ Our favourite was Citrus with Malunggay. It's refreshing and a must drink during summer. Doesn't taste Malunggay or Moringa at all! Perfect sinker would be Nata de Coco. It has green tea so it's healthy.” (Photo credit: CleaBanal.com)



We also tried their CAKES IN A JAR. It has three flavors - Black Forest, Salted Caramel, and Cookies and Cream. My favorites were the Black Forest and Salted Caramel.

The Davao Chocolate Festival was formally opened last September 25, Friday at the SM City Davao Annex Event Center. This festival actually started last year and due to the success of it, the exhibitors gathered together to continue to give Dabawenyos the taste of chocolates made only in Mindanao.



The festival is organized by Cacao Industry Development Association of Mindanao Incorporated (CIDAMI) and SM City Davao. Here are the exhibitors at the event.



Mr. Val Turtur, the CIDAMI’s Executive Director said that there is a huge demand for cacao all over the world and this is an opportunity to our local cacao growers and chocolate processors to expand their businesses worldwide. There will be a lot of guests who will check out the displays, samples, or products at the festival.



The SM City Davao Assistant Mall Manager, Engr. Nick Saptos said that the attendees can also win a golden ticket if they can guess how many chocolate coins are there inside this capsule.

Zenfone Selfie

I guess this was the most promising phone and all of us got excited to try the Zenfone Selfie. It has a 5.5 inch display and an Anti Scratch Corning Glass 4.32GB ROM storage and supports micro SD’s. The best part is that it has a 13MP front and rear camera! How cool is that?! It has low light mode, back light mode, macro focus, manual mode, and super resolution mode. Real time beautification effects made my girl friends go gaga over it. No more editing your selfies with this phone.
