I recently spent a night at Coro Hotel in Makati when we were invited by COMCO for an event. It was just a short stay, but I appreciated the overall comfort and convenience. The hotel’s located along Kalayaan Avenue in Poblacion, so it was easy to get around, and the atmosphere felt relaxed from the moment I checked in.

Big Beds & Spacious Room Layout
The first thing that struck me when we walked into our room at Coro Hotel was the space—it just felt open and breathable. The bed was huge and super inviting, perfect after a long day exploring Makati. What I really appreciated was how easy it was to move around without knocking into furniture.
One quirky thing though: the left foot of the bed was really close to the wall, making it a bit of a squeeze to pass through and get to the left side. A minor obstacle, but it was just fine for me.
We also found out later that our room was more spacious than the ones our friends had—though theirs were still comfortably sized. Ours just had that little extra breathing room that made it feel like an upgrade.
Well-Equipped Bathroom
The bathroom was spacious and nicely laid out. It had a hot and cold rain shower, which felt great after a long day. One thing I noticed was that the bidet was installed on the left side, which might be a bit inconvenient for right-handed guests like me. Also, the rain shower head could use a little cleaning since the water splashes don’t come out all straight down.
I appreciated the complete set of toiletries: dental kit, vanity kit, a separate bath bar, and the usual trio of liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Bonus points for including a hair dryer and a magnifying mirror, which always come in handy. These small but complete touches made a difference, especially for travelers who might have forgotten their own essentials.
In-Room Amenities
Coro Hotel did a solid job on the in-room essentials. Ours came with a microwave, mini fridge, and an electric kettle—all great touches for anyone staying more than a night or craving a cup of coffee or a quick snack after hours.
There wasn’t a flat iron in the room, but they did place an ironing board inside the cabinet. I figured the iron was probably available upon request. Small details like that made the stay feel more convenient and considered.
They also provided complimentary bottled water, mugs, and glasses, which were nice practical additions for tea or coffee.
The room even had a work desk, which I found especially useful. The lighting was sufficient—bright enough for working but still warm enough to keep things cozy.
Peaceful & Quiet
Even though the hotel is located in the heart of Makati, my room was surprisingly quiet. No traffic or street noise seeped in, which helped me rest soundly through the night. For a hotel in a lively district like Poblacion, that’s a major plus.
Security & Accessibility
I also appreciated the added security measures. Floor and room access was limited via key card, meaning guests could only access the floor their room was on. You have to tap your card in the elevator to go up, which gave me peace of mind that the property values guest safety.
Efficient Staff Service
The staff were quick and attentive, especially during check-in and check-out. It didn’t take long for us to get settled, and the front desk team was accommodating throughout. Everything felt smooth and hassle-free—something every guest hopes for after a long trip.
Hotel Breakfast
I didn’t get to try out the gym, bar, or swimming pool—my day was packed—but I did manage to catch the complimentary buffet breakfast at Mezzo Food Hall. It was a good start to the morning. Most of the dishes were seasoned just right, nothing too heavy, and the Caesar salad really stood out: crisp, fresh, and surprisingly satisfying.
Overall, my stay at Coro Hotel Makati went better than expected. The place was clean, stylish, and thoughtfully equipped, making it easy to settle in even for just one night. Whether you're dropping by for work, a weekend break, or a night out in Poblacion, Coro strikes a solid balance between comfort and convenience—definitely a reliable option if you're in the area.
