TECH REVIEW: realme Buds T300 - Affordable and Bass-heavy

The Buds T300 is the newest wireless earbuds from realme! I had the opportunity to get a hands-on review of these affordable bass-heavy true wireless stereo buds and I'd like to share them with you.

What's in the box?

DESIGN

The realme Buds T300 comes in a pebble-like shape that can easily fit into your pocket. The case is sturdy and has a satisfying click. It's available in two colors: Stylish Black and Youth White. The white variant is shiny, while the black variant is matte.

I reviewed the Stylish Black variant, and the interior has a brown color. The earbuds have a stem design and fit perfectly into my ears. They are comfortable to wear, and the silicon cups snuggle inside with a good grip. The earbuds come with a USB Type-C port for charging and an LED power indicator located below the brand logo.

With an IP55 water and dust resistance rating, the Buds T300 can withstand light splashes and gym sessions.

CONNECTIVITY

Connectivity-wise, the Buds T300 support Bluetooth 5.3 and offers compatibility with SBC, AAC codecs, and Dolby Atmos (depending on your device). With touch controls on each earbud, users can easily manage playback, ANC settings, track changes, and even access Google Assistant. The realme Buds T300 usually pairs with smartphones. I connected it to my iPhone and Samsung phones.

I tried to connect and add this device to my realme Link app but it's not available just yet. I'm not sure why, probably I'll wait for an app update soon. I read that you can adjust the controls for Active Noise Cancellation, Spatial Sound, gesture shortcuts, and more.

AUDIO QUALITY

Regarding audio quality, the realme Buds T300 has 12.4mm Dynamic Bass drivers, providing lively sound and powerful bass. I actually love the quality especially when listening to bass-heavy KPOP songs. Active noise cancellation is present in the Buds T300, providing decent performance against low-frequency noises.

It also supports Dolby Atmos and provides an immersive stereo surround sound to make the audio from consumed media more engaging may it be music, games, or videos. This feature is only compatible when connected to a device that also supports Dolby Atmos.

BATTERY

Battery life is impressive! It's equipped with a 460 mAh battery, 43 mAh each bud, and supports fast charging. With each bud offers 6-7 hours of playback (with ANC off) and the charging case provides over a day and a half of total playback. This ensures you can enjoy your music throughout the day without worrying about running out of power.
