I believe that every food tasting is a blessing! Haha! So I was really glad to be one of the Davao bloggers to taste Primo’s newest dishes last June 18. PRIMO has been operating in Davao since March 16, 2012. A group of friends who loves food decided to build this restaurant where everybody can hang out, eat good food, and have fun. PRIMO means “cousin” in Spanish, or a “close relative”. In English, it means “first in excellence, quality, or value”.

When I visited PRIMO for the first time last 2013, I only had a drink and believe me, I can still remember how good their mojito is! So I am excited to taste their food for the first time. Mr. Alex Tiaoqui accommodated us and introduced their dishes one at a time.

photo IMG_7821-1_zpsynwt48sn.jpg
TUNA SASHIMI DIABLO (P165) - It’s not that sour, but it was really spicy. It also tastes “milky” for me. I like the combination of the crunchy wonton chips and the spicy tuna sashimi. It’s like an “Asian Tuna Tacos?” haha!

photo IMG_7822-1_zpsrwkmsjxo.jpg
CHEESE STICK FLAUTAS (P150) - I was hesitant to try it first because when I heard “flautas”, I imagined a big and very spicy green bell pepper inside this Lumpia wrapper. But when I tried it, it only has a small amount of green bell pepper and it tastes good! It’s more cheesy than spicy and the roasted tomato salsa is really good!

photo IMG_7820-1_zpsmtitah1d.jpg
SIZZLING BEEF TENDON (P220) - I am not a fan of beef tendons or “litid”, but their version of this dish is a “thumbs up”. It has a thick gravy with garlic. I highly recommend this as a main dish served with rice.

photo IMG_7818-1_zpsv2goc9r0.jpg
MUSHROOMS AND CHORIZO (P185) - Sauteed chorizo, button mushrooms, and caramelized onions in Olive oil and garlic. The chorizo was too salty for me, but the mushrooms balanced the taste.

photo IMG_7819-1_zpsjht4wjy2.jpg
PESTO LINGUINI (P155) - I was surprised that their version of pesto pasta is not oily, which is a good thing. I like the saltiness of the parmesan cheese and the crunch of toasted cashew nuts. This might be a new favorite for pesto pasta lovers.

photo IMG_7806-1_zpsrz967qs6.jpg
BACON MUSHROOM MELT (P255) - I really wanted to eat the whole burger by myself, but I had to share it to my fellow bloggers. Haha! The beef patty was delicious and the bacon was crispy and tasty. The french fries was seasoned just right. I’ll think of eating this when I’m in a bad mood and I want to eat something to de-stress myself. Haha!

photo IMG_7808-1_zpsulnk1jwi.jpg
SHRIMP DIAVEL PASTA (P250) - I love seafood pasta and I must say that this one was cooked to perfection. The spicy gambas were not overcooked and the marinara sauce gave me the “kilig” feeling. Haha! Definitely, a must try!

photo IMG_7827-1_zpspg8br1lc.jpg
SEAFOOD SUPREMO PIZZA (P360)  - This is one of my favorite dishes too! It’s a thin crust pizza with shrimp, anchovies, garlic, onion, and mozzarella! You can really tell that there’s anchovies because of the strong smell and taste. I couldn’t ask for more!

photo IMG_7809-1_zpsdg6dnui1.jpg
GRILLED CHEESE, TOMATO, AND BASIL (P140) - They combined the rich flavors of cheddar cheese and basil sandwiched in a toasted wheat bread. The smell is strong, but it adds flavour in every bite. This is a perfect merienda served with an iced tea.

photo IMG_7811-1_zps7jah0bd1.jpg
CLASSIC GOLDEN WAFFLE AND MANGO JUBILEE WAFFLE (P110/P170) - Both waffles are yummy. But the best waffle goes to the Mango Jubilee. Vanilla Ice cream + Mango + Waffle = best dessert ever!
photo IMG_7812-1_zpsqtyn45ox.jpg

If you would ask me what are my top 3 dishes, that would be the Shrimp Diavel Pasta, Seafood Supremo Pizza, and the Mango Jubilee Waffle. Per order is good for 2 persons. So if you are going out in large groups, you might have to order more. The price range is Php150-Php360. They also serve different beers and cocktails.

We would like to thank Ms. Karla Singson for inviting us and for organizing the food tasting event. Thanks again to Sir Alex for the warm accommodation.

This was one of my favorite polos I got from Forever 21 when we went to Cebu in Thanksgiving last year. This was my second OOTD in our 4-day Cebu escapade with my friends. You can check my first OOTD here entitled, “Being Green”. Both polo shirts were on sale so I bought them without any hesitation. Wow! Yaman! Haha!

I really like the color and the details of this polo. Well, the fact that I like blue and I was into floral designs at that time. Since the top is full of designs and colors, I matched it with a plain black sweatshorts. I like it because it’s really comfortable to wear and you can match it with different shirts or polos. This super comfy shorts is still from Forever 21. Actually, it was raining outside when we shot this at a park near our hotel. It was November 30 because I can still remember there were a lot of military officials around the area in celebration of Bonifacio Day. I know it’s a bit too late to post this, but I think I look good in this picture. Do you agree? Haha! :)

Thank you so much for visiting! I’d be happy if you’ll leave a comment below. Have a great day!

Getting fit is not my thing. Really. Trust me. You can definitely tell when you see me. But, fun runs are cool. It’s like jogging but with a twist. Everyone is wearing the same top. You run the same route at the same time. You can run with your friends or family. You get to win cool prizes. And well, there’s usually a free egg and a banana. I can share more cool stuff about fun runs, but it’s better experienced than read about.

I attended the Davao Bloggers Society Acquaintance Party last May 16 at the White House Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge. It was my first time to attend to an event this big with my fellow Davao bloggers. I was so excited to join the party when they announced it online, that I have to let go of the other big parties outside the city. This is one of the DBS events that I get to meet other bloggers and mingle with them.

I brought my cousins, nephews, and niece to Jollitown Funtasy Land last May 9 at the SMX Convention Center inside SM Lanang Premier. Jollibee Funtasy Land caravan made its way to Davao City to give joy to all kids and kids at heart. They prepared a lot of fun games and activities for all young Davaenos!

Neon Utopia - the biggest and most colorful party happened in Davao City last March 14 @ the concert grounds of Davao Crocodile Park. It was filled with a lot of people with the same goal - to get wasted and painted while dancing to the freshest EDM tracks from local and international DJ’s. This was the biggest paint festival in the country with paint canons that can launch paint up to 20 meters! Literally, it was a BLAST!

It’s never too late to plan for the whole year with our newest #BakasyonistaGiveaway - The Sunnies Studios Agenda 2015! I bought this planner at SM City Davao as soon as I received their text message that it’s already available in Davao! I have waited for this for almost a month and finally it’s here! I really love the design and well, I love Sunnies Studios! But last January, I actually bought 2 other planners. I dunno why? Hahaha! So since I already have one that I consistently use, might as well give this to all my blog readers.

It’s the love month once again and everyone is going crazy about it. Especially the single ladies and gents out there. If in case you already have a date on Valentine’s Day, you are definitely qualified to read this. I know it’s really difficult to plan a romantic date without going over the budget. So, I’d like to help you out and give you ideas to have a cheap, yet romantic Valentine’s Date.

1. GO FOR A JOG TOGETHER
Valentine’s Day is set for the weekend so ask her to wake up early and go to a nearby park and jog together. Help each other in stretching. Talk about your food choices and diet plans. You can also bet on a race and make her win eventually. Corny but sweet. LOL!

2. PLAY WITH YOUR PETS
I mean, the REAL pets. Hahaha! It will be very romantic if you do it in your own backyard or at the park.

3. COOK OR BAKE SOMETHING TOGETHER
Go look for a menu of a food that you are not familiar with. Buy the ingredients together at the grocery store. Then help each other bake or cook that kind of food. It’s a good way to bond with each other.

4. ROAD TRIP WITHIN THE CITY
Do you have a car? Well, you can roam around the city and find a place to hang out for awhile. Go sightseeing and you can buy your food along the streets. You can have a stop-over and have a drink. Like on top of a hill or along the beach and do this during sunset. And don’t forget to play some romantic acoustic songs to top it all off!

5. SET A LOW-KEY PICNIC
Picnics must be cheap. Take out some food at a nearby fast food chain and use a colorful mat. You can go to a park or you can do it in your backyard. Use tea light candles or scented candles if you have any. Sprinkle some rose petals or any flower petals on and around the picnic mat. Then set a playlist of nice songs on your phone to make it more romantic.

6. MOVIE OR SERIES MARATHON
You can rent DVD’s and watch movies with her. You can do it inside your room or in the living room. Cook some popcorn and buy some sodas. Bring in all your pillows and make a small couch. You can also watch a whole season of your favorite TV series.

7. PLAY VIDEO GAMES W/ BETS
We all love video games, right? Play some two-player games like Street Fighter, Tekken, or whatever you can think of, then the loser will have to do something. I’m sure this is really fun.

8. KARAOKE IS OK!
Go for a sing-a-long together. Sing anything you want and be surprised with her song choices. Maybe you have the same favorite songs too! You’ll end up choosing your theme song.

9. MASSAGE @ THE PARK
Getting a nice massage at the park is cheaper than in a spa. You’ll be sitting next to each other and enjoy watching her get tickled. (I don't have any other photo. Sorry LOL)

10. BUILD A NICE FORT INSIDE YOUR ROOM
Use a lot of blankets and make a nice and cozy fort like this. Turn off the room lights and use some old Christmas lights to make it more romantic. Again, the more pillows the better. Use tea lights or flame-less candles too. Sprinkle rose petals for that romantic touch and spray some citrus or flowery perfume to set the mood.

There you go! Hope this post helps you in any way. Just remember to enjoy the day together.
Thanks for reading my blog! Happy Valentine’s Day! <3

I’ve been very busy lately so I have no time to pamper myself with a refreshing facial or any skin care. So I have bumps and dry skin right now. I’ve been to different skin centers and tried their services, and I realized how these chemicals from different products can eventually ruin my skin. Then I heard about My Skin Origins Facial and Skin Care Center from my fellow bloggers and found out that it is owned and managed by Mr. and Mrs. Jennifer and Alan Echano. I met them at a wedding photo shoot with my best friend last year. I asked Ms. Jen about their clinic on Facebook and then later invited me to come to their clinic to try out their services and check their skin care products.

I was invited to a food tasting event last January 24, 2015 in Darcy’s Place located at Damosa Gateway Lanang. They want us to try their newest dishes and soon they will add them on their menu. They just transferred late last year from their old location at Sobrecarey St. I once visited their old place with friends last year and we liked it. And oh! I also met some of the bloggers from Davao Bloggers Society for the first time and it was fun!

Last Saturday, I partied with my friends from Davao Bloggers Society in Abreeza Ayala Mall for ELECTROSTATIC 2015! This was brought to us by Abreeza and Manic Nigthnings Productions. This was an awesome way to welcome the new year. They brought the Davao’s hottest DJ’s, the larger-than-life Universorobots, and the most in-demand DJ in Manila Samir Ayeb. The most interesting part of the party was - they had a raffle draw! I almost won 1 of the 3 smartphones from LG! Well, hindi talaga ako maswerte sa mga raffle-raffle na yan. Sad noh?

Every year, I celebrate US Thanksgiving Week by traveling with friends. So last year, my friends and I decided to go to Cebu. They actually planned it months ago because they want to go to Sumilon Island. I also wanted to go back there to meet my closest friends! While we were finalizing our itinerary for our 4-day trip in Cebu, I saw a lot of posts about this wonderful resort from my online friends. So I asked them if they can add Movenpick Resort in our itinerary. Glad that we were able to visit this amazing place.

Baguio is one of the few places I really love to travel. It’s cold and the people are so friendly. Plus I love to wear jackets and baggy tops with hoodies. Yay for hoodies! This is a major throwback post. Went back for the second time last year and here’s what I wore on the second day of our trip.

Blugre Coffee launched 2 of their newest brands last December and I’m pretty sure you’ll love this! Since 1998, they’ve been serving home-grown hot and cold coffee blends, fruit juices, and delectable food. Now, they have something to spice up our coffee experience. We had a chance to witness the launching of Blugre Radio and Blugre Lifestyle last December 13, 2014 at their Matina Town Square branch.
